The cost of PPF installation depends primarily on the level of protection required, the size and design of the vehicle, and the type of film selected. You can protect individual areas that are most exposed to damage, such as the front bumper, headlights and bonnet, the entire front of the vehicle, or the complete bodywork. At Axis Auto Detailing, we prepare each quotation individually based on the vehicle model and the required level of protection. As a general guide, our most popular PPF protection packages start from PLN 4,000 net, while a full-body PPF installation starts from PLN 14,000 net. You do not always need to protect the entire front or the whole vehicle. We can also apply PPF to individual components, with prices starting from PLN 800 net.
PPF and ceramic coatings protect automotive paintwork in different ways.
PPF provides significantly greater mechanical protection. Its primary purpose is to protect the paint against stone chips, minor scratches and other damage caused during everyday driving.
A protective coating primarily protects the surface against dirt, environmental exposure and chemical contamination, while also making regular vehicle maintenance easier. It also enhances hydrophobic properties, gloss and colour depth.
If maximum paint protection is the priority, one of the most comprehensive solutions is to combine PPF with a suitably selected protective coating
Yes. PPF was specifically developed to protect automotive paintwork against common types of mechanical damage, including stone chips, minor scratches and marks caused by everyday vehicle use.
PPF also has self-healing properties, which means that minor surface scratches in the film can disappear when exposed to heat.
However, no film can provide 100% protection against every possible type of damage. In the event of a very strong impact, both the film and the component underneath it may be damaged.
It is worth noting that PPF is approximately 190–210 μm thick, which in many cases can be two or even three times the thickness of the paint layer itself. This creates an additional, highly durable protective layer over the bodywork that absorbs a significant proportion of the damage caused during everyday use.
Although PPF is not indestructible, it remains one of the most effective solutions available for protecting automotive paintwork against stone chips, minor scratches, scuffs and other mechanical damage.
The PPF we offer can effectively protect a vehicle for many years. Depending on the manufacturer, type of film, how the vehicle is used and how it is maintained, its typical lifespan is approximately 7–10 years.
The durability of the film is influenced by factors such as vehicle mileage, whether the car is garaged, exposure to weather conditions and the car care chemicals used.
Regular and proper maintenance helps preserve both the protective properties and appearance of the film for as long as possible.
The durability of a protective coating depends on the type of coating, how the paintwork was prepared before application and how the vehicle is subsequently used and maintained. Depending on the product selected, protection can typically last between 3 and 5 years.
The washing method, car care chemicals used, vehicle mileage, driving conditions and storage conditions can also have a significant impact on the lifespan of the coating.
Not always. However, in approximately 90% of cases, we recommend paint correction to achieve the best possible result and properly prepare the surface.
A protective coating does not remove existing scratches, dullness or other imperfections in the paintwork. If the coating is applied over a surface with visible defects, those imperfections will remain visible after application.
For this reason, we carefully assess the condition of the paintwork before applying protection. On a new or exceptionally well-maintained vehicle, thorough cleaning and surface preparation may be sufficient. If the paintwork has scratches or signs of dullness, we recommend carrying out paint correction first.
Paint correction can remove or significantly reduce most surface scratches, dullness, holograms and marks caused by everyday use or improper washing techniques.
However, not every scratch can be safely removed completely. Deep damage that penetrates through the clear coat may require alternative repair methods.
During paint correction, we always select the appropriate level of correction to achieve the best possible result without unnecessarily reducing the thickness of the paint layers. Where deeper damage is present, we can also carry out local paint touch-ups.
When correctly applied, high-quality PPF or a professional ceramic coating will not damage the vehicle’s factory paintwork.
However, the quality of the materials used, proper surface preparation and the correct application technique are all essential.
With PPF, the removal process is also important. The film should be removed using the appropriate procedure, particularly on components that have previously been repainted or repaired.

One of the most popular solutions, particularly for drivers who frequently travel longer distances, is our Full Front package. This includes PPF protection for the entire bonnet, front bumper, front wings, headlights, mirrors, A-pillars and the section of the roof above the windscreen – in other words, the entire front of the vehicle and the areas most exposed to damage.
These surfaces are particularly vulnerable to stone impacts, paint chips, minor scratches and other mechanical damage while driving. Full Front provides an excellent balance between the level of protection and overall cost, especially for vehicles regularly driven on motorways and longer routes.
If your priority is easier maintenance, hydrophobic properties, enhanced gloss and protection against environmental contamination, a protective coating is a good option.

A vehicle protected with PPF or a protective coating still requires regular and proper washing.
We recommend safe hand-washing methods, suitable automotive cleaning products and soft accessories designed for maintaining paintwork and protected surfaces.
Most importantly, avoid automatic brush car washes, aggressive chemicals and leaving bird droppings, insects, tree sap or other difficult contaminants on the surface for extended periods.
